This policy explains what information the game Drop (“the game”) collects, why, and the choices you have. Drop is made by MedoGames, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada, owned by Tomislav Kilic (“we”, “us”). Questions? Email medogames.studio@gmail.com.
The short version
- You don’t need an account to play. We never ask for your real name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
- Your progress and settings are saved on your device.
- To run the global leaderboard, the game sends your best score, a random player ID and your nickname to our backend provider, LootLocker.
- Cloud Save is optional. If you turn it on, a copy of your game progress is stored with LootLocker.
- The current version has no analytics, no ads and no in-app purchases. Ads (Google AdMob) and in-app purchases (Google Play Billing) are Planned. They are described below so you know what to expect, and we will update this policy before they go live.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information stored on your device
The game saves your progress and settings in your device’s local storage. This includes your best score, games played, collected drops, unlocked faces, trails, scenes and music, missions, tutorial progress, sound settings, your leaderboard nickname and random player ID, and your Cloud Save name if you use Cloud Save. This data stays on your device unless it is sent for the leaderboard or Cloud Save as described below. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes it.
2. Leaderboard (LootLocker)
When you set a new best score and you are online, the game automatically signs in to LootLocker as an anonymous guest and submits your score. LootLocker receives:
- a random player ID created on your device. If you have linked Cloud Save, it is an ID derived from your Cloud Save account instead.
- your best score;
- your nickname, if you choose one (up to 16 characters). Players who don’t choose one appear under a generic name. Nicknames are public on the leaderboard, so please don’t use your real name.
Like any web service, LootLocker also receives technical data such as your IP address and request times when the game connects to it. See the LootLocker privacy policy.
3. Cloud Save (optional)
If you choose Save to cloud, you pick a name and a 4-digit PIN. The game turns them into a one-way hashed ID on your device. The PIN itself is never sent. A copy of your game progress (the same items listed in section 1), your games played, your best score, a timestamp and your Cloud Save name are then stored privately in LootLocker player storage under that ID. After that, the game syncs automatically, for example after a game or when you leave the app. You can stop syncing at any time with Unlink.
4. Ads Planned
We plan to show ads using Google AdMob. When ads are added, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions to serve, measure and (where you allow it) personalise ads. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
5. In-app purchases Planned
We plan to offer optional purchases through Google Play Billing. Payments are handled entirely by Google. We never see your card or payment details. We only receive purchase confirmations, such as an order ID and the product bought, so we can deliver your item. See the Google Privacy Policy.
6. What we don’t do
- No analytics or tracking SDKs in the current version.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo access.
- No selling or renting of personal information.
7. Service providers
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| LootLocker | Leaderboard, Cloud Save | Random player ID, nickname, scores, saved progress (Cloud Save only), IP address |
| Google AdMob Planned | Ads | Advertising ID, device info, IP address, ad interactions |
| Google Play Billing Planned | Purchases | Purchase records (handled by Google) |
8. Retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you uninstall the game or clear its data. Leaderboard entries and Cloud Saves stay with LootLocker until you ask us to delete them. To request deletion or access, email medogames.studio@gmail.com with your leaderboard nickname or Cloud Save name. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Drop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The leaderboard nickname is the only free text a player can enter. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security and transfers
Data sent to LootLocker is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Our providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States and the EU.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use. Email us to exercise any of these rights.
12. Changes
We will update this page, and the effective date above, when the game changes, including before ads or purchases launch.
